The Blue Devils' golf campaign showed much promise, with one team victory and three other top-five finishes in the fall. A turbulent spring slate demonstrated how brutal the game of golf can be, especially under postseason pressure.
The best round for the Blue Devils came Thursday with a 2-under 286, firing the squad to a 16-over 880 on the week and good for sixth place in the Reno Regional. Kim’s 5-under 67 on the final day placed him in a three-way tie for the lowest score of the day, and saw him qualify for the NCAA Championship as the lowest-scoring individual on a non-advancing team.

The Blue Devils finished in third at the event with a score of 850 14-under par. Duke finished behind Auburn and Louisville, two of the best teams in the nation, largely thanks to the efforts of Ethan Evans. The junior shot 11-under 205 in the event, good for second place individually.
Although Duke finished last out of the seven teams competing in the ACC Championships, Connor Barket’s fifth place finish was good enough for an NCAA Championship bid.
